What accomodation do
you have?
Birchwood Foyer
Birchwood Foyer is a modern, purpose-built building with 24 bed short-stay apartments designed for young people and adults aged 16-24 who have complex needs experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Every young person has their keyworker and bespoke support package. It acts as our central hub where we support young people and our community with wrap around services and outreach work.
Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week you’ll get professional support to develop independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, paying bills and budgeting. And you’ll develop skills and employability to help you when you make the move to permanent accommodation. You can access all our wellbeing activities and classes, such as yoga and meditation and have chances to volunteer.
Birchwood supported housing
We have over 50 supported housing units in West Lancashire, offering lots of options depending on your needs. This is your opportunity to live independently, either in a shared tenancies of 3-5 people or in a self-contained apartment.
We’ll support you managing and maintaining your tenancy, developing life skills such as budgeting, accessing benefits and handling relationships. And you can access all our wellbeing activities and classes, such as art and walking groups and have chances to volunteer.
Housing support
We offer specialist tenancy support including advice on private renting, eviction, tenancy deposits, repairs, benefits and money problems, council housing and mortgage repossession.
Mediation with home
or landlords
We can support you if you’re having problems living at home or with your landlord to find a resolution.
You get the time to sit down and talk with someone who really listens and offers practical support and information if you’re struggling with conflict in your family, having difficulties with your tenancy, or other problems that affect where you live. We can refer you to specialist help or carry out mediation to solve disagreements. And we’re here to help with applications for housing and wider issues at college, training, or work.
If you need mediation or homelessness and housing support, call us on 01695 728391 or fill in our form. You can refer yourself or someone can do it for you.
